Searching for the genetic anomaly of the pure bred, the so-called Aryan, is not beyond the conception man. In fact the history of man is wrought and written by the search for the genetic anomaly, may it be based on principles of economy, politics, tribalism, belief, ethnicity or ideas (delusions) of supremacy. With the intervening hand of science and social engineering a pure bred has been fabricated, several times over in the history of man at the expense of spiritual ethics and morals.
A pure bred as concept, belief and reality requires a masterful and meticulous inhumane plan. At this stage in human development the pure bred, a rarity, is truly an exception than a reality. History as a master teacher reveals that a quest for a pure bred is shackled to the marrow and bone to exclusivity and gross human violations stretching back to the beginning of recorded history. The pure bred should not only read genetic purity but also a quest for religious, economic, political, cultural and social homogeneity, in other words exclusivity in all spheres of life.
Show me a pure bred and surely a human being would be depicted, a bastard to be more precise. In South Africa this bastard is called coloured, a true misconception. If my skin were not black then it would be coloured for I am born of the fusion of many black nations or tribes, alas my genetics is mixed. If my skin were not white then it would be coloured for I am born of the fusion of many white nations or clans, alas my genetics is mixed. If my skin were not white, black or even coloured then it would be human for I am born of the fusion of many nations, tribes or clans.
The bastard, the coloured, the mix-breed, the mulatto or by any name exist is the human pure bred, Aryan. Their blood is richly mixed, the genes are bountiful and blessed, and the breeding follows a good strong line of a mixed culture. A culture, bountiful and blessed with the breeding of a richly mixed blood, genes, religion, tradition and social conventions following the sacred path of nature and life. I am coloured, the original Aryan.
Transcending the shackles, chains and burdens of separation mentality, repressive racial thought prevalent in South Africa and the world, the concept of beyond identity fosters values of uniformity between people that finds discourse and dissent against any form of exclusion. Our ethos is never to racially exclude and discriminate on the grounds of ethnicity, nationality, language, religion, philosophy and heritage as we choose rather to promote the human race as hate or retribution dressed in whatever remain hate and retribution. If we don’t learn from our ancestors, how can we expect to foster any change in the world. As the great man Mahatma Gandhi said ‘You must be the change you wish to see in the world’
The ideals of Beyond Identity are compounded by,
- People of color are the future.
- Ignorance is not an excuse, it is nothing but lazy thinking.
- Education is the key to change, a better world for everyone.
- It is not necessary to have mix-blood pumping in your veins to be human, but a soul that is filled with humanity.
- Mix-blood is not a guarantee to be part of a Beyond Identity Ethos, as being a human is a way of living in peace and love.
- Ubuntu and Masakhane now and forever for all people of color.
- The naissance, a new way of thinking, living and being.
- I am a part of you, as you are a part of me.

WOW, this is a daring statement, to start with. At first it seems to strengthen the kind of hierarchical thinking that we often amongst ‘Coloured nationalists or those that seek some primordial right to ‘First people’ status on the southern tip of Africa. It seems as if you are in fact trying to overcome this, by subverting the claims and colonial definitions of Aryan-ness. It seems to me, however that Aryan-ness (after Hitler, KKK and apartheid) is beyond redemption, hence my (personal) resistance (if not out right offense) to using the word in this context. Hopefully, I have misunderstood the usage in this context. Please help me to understand …..

Trivialize that which seems offensive, and then after a while it will loose it significance. If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. The once powerful Klu Klux Klan was brought to naught when their secrets was trivialized and infantilized on a radio show called ‘The Adventures of Superman’ by a brave man called Stetson Kennedy.
The genealogy and evolution of the word Aryan is rather fascinating. The word roots from the Sanskrit ‘Arya’, meaning noble. In time and in the hands of insecure, narrow minded nationalistic modernistic philosopher’s combined with the marked influence of Hitler, the designation Aryan race was born. It needs to be noted that at the time, at the turn of the last century, the study of genetics was still in its infancy.
Each and every period in the evolution of man, has it’s own set of values, parameters and opportunities that influence thinking at that specific point in time with consequences to bear. What seemed right, and totally reasonable at any point in time is made trivial and insignificant by new knowledge, new science, new understanding, new insight and new wisdom.
The aryan race came to mean and refer to the search for a pure race and a pure people. Anthropology, Genetics and History intimates that a ‘pure race’ in the narrow minded sense of the word is but a futile dream of entering heaven. The survival of man depends on genetic evolution and adaptation. The only pure race, is a surviving race, and a surviving race is a mixed race, a natural race of and for evolution.
Philosophy is a very interesting, very ubiquitous in truth. What fascinates me more, is the evolution of thinking. How we think today can never be seen in isolation, it is connected to every thing before this moment, during this moment, it is connected to science, to history, to politics, to economy.
If Aryan is to mean noble and a pure race (redefined of course) then it is high time that we as coloured people step up to the plate. The first step on this journey is education, education, education. At the same time we are education ourself and the people around us, entrepreneurship should become breathing. A people that is educated, is a people empowered.
‘First people’ status is parochial, narrow-minded and definitely colonial thinking. Recriminations, victim mentality and entitlement has never served any way, it only leads to more war and strife. Thinking out of the box, deconstruction and self-re-definition is the death knell of colonial thinking. For me their is no better way, then to define who I am, where I come from and where I going, by subverting, re-thinking, re-defining, de-constructing and re-constructing the claims and definitions of colonial thinking, or if you like oppression thinking.
Knowledge, understanding and wisdom is like a beautiful red rose. It takes time to germinate, to evolve and to be. Understanding does not always follow knowledge, it takes time. Whatever there is to know, you already know, it is just a matter of time, a little matter called (re) exposure.

Reading the etymology on the word Aryan of course makes one, think although meaning, as you might know, comes from an array of social factors like context, the power balance and the discourses maintained by the ideologies of the elite (those in power). They key thing, as you mention, is to transcend the kind of racist or escapist discourses that are so endemic in conversations about coloured-ness or whatever you might call it and this is where your posts are helpful.
